Free Windows 10 upgrade for Win 7 SP1 and Win 8

Microsoft has announced to launch the latest version of Windows by naming it Windows 10. Microsoft has not yet revealed that why the newborn was not named as Windows 9.Basically Windows 10 may be called as an upgrade to Windows 8, which was one of the failures of Microsoft. Windows users were annoyed when their most favorite “Start button” was removed from the screen. This change was not in favor of classic users. Moreover, touch screen style of Windows 8 was also a big lap, so most users were hesitated to adopt such style. Now Microsoft has tried to bridge the gap of some missing features from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Free Windows 10 upgrade offer from Microsoft was also a big surprise.

Windows 8 was a giant leap of Microsoft because they switched the use of the operating system for PC’s to touchscreen and handheld devices which were also need of the day. When we analyze the history of Windows from Windows 95 to Windows 8.1, users were always reluctant to adopt new versions. Most versions were rejected due to the poor graphical user interface. Even some users are still using Windows XP in 2015.

The start screen of Windows 8 and start menu of 7 are both merged in Windows 10. It is time  to say goodbye to Internet Explorer. Yes, because Windows 10 is equipped with a brand new browser named as Microsoft Edge. Windows 10 also contains a digital personal assistant named as Cortana. Another very cool feature of Windows 10 is that Xbox users can now record game plays  and stream games from Xbox console to a Windows 10 device.

Free Windows 10 upgrade for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8 users

Microsoft has announced free Windows 10 upgrade offer for existing users of Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 8.1. If you are using any older versions of MS Windows then you should have to upgrade to latest version mentioned above, after then free Windows 10 upgrade will be available for you. If you are using Windows 7 SP1/8 then you might have noticed “Get Windows 10” icon in your system tray. Windows 10 release date is 29 July as per Microsoft announcement.
